WHAT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY?

 DEFINITION OF TECHNOLOGY:

=Technology is the sum of techniques, skills, methods, and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. An example of technology is the Internet which has made up-to-date information available to anyone with access in a matter of moments and provides real-time information about events around the world. An example of technology was during the Stone Age when the first knife or shovel was made from a piece of stone or obsidian.

An example of technology is the products that were invented during the space program, which have allowed engineers and other scientists to use variations of these products and materials in manufacturing. An example of technology is ultrasound, MRI, CAT scans, and other forms of nuclear imaging, which allow doctors to see inside the human body using a blending of medical technology, nuclear technology, and computer technology.

AGE OF TECHNOLOGY:

=The Age of Technology, informally often referred to as the Dark Age of Technology, was the zenith of Mankind's scientific knowledge and technological power in the Milky Way Galaxy, which lasted from the 15th Millennium A.D. until the onset of the Age of Strife in the 25th Millennium.

It saw the development of the first true Human interstellar civilization and the birth of some form of stellar confederation centered on the Human homeworld of Terra. Even tens of millennia later, Mankind has not been able to equal or regain its former height of achievement attained in this era.

ERA OF TECHNOLOGY:

=A technological revolution is a period in which one or more technologies are replaced by another, novel technology in a short amount of time. It is an era of accelerated technological progress characterized by new innovations whose rapid application and diffusion typically cause an abrupt change in society. A technological revolution generally increases productivity and efficiency.

It may involve material or ideological changes caused by the introduction of a device or system. Some examples of its potential impact are business management, education, social interactions, finance, and research methodology; it is not limited strictly to technical aspects. The technological revolution rewrites the material conditions of human existence and can reshape culture. It can play a role as a trigger of a chain of various and unpredictable changes.

TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES:

=Technological device means any computer, cellular phone, smartphone, digital camera, video camera, audio recording device, or another electronic device that can be used for creating, storing, or transmitting information in the form of electronic data.

Technological device internet access at home is entirely the responsibility of parents and is subject to the structures/rules they have put into place.2. Parents are encouraged to set appropriate restrictions on internet access and to be vigilant in maintaining these.3. Reddam House takes no responsibility for the levels of accessibility students have to the internet and social media away from its campus, other than to continually instruct, educate and counsel its students with regards to cyber safety.

WHY IS TECHNOLOGY SO IMPORTANT?

=Technology affects the way individuals communicate, learn, and think. It helps society and determines how people interact with each other on a daily basis. Technology plays an important role in society today. It has positive and negative effects on the world and it impacts daily lives. We are living in an era where technological advances are common. The internet and cell phones are some examples. However, with technological advances, there’s a downside to it all.

One aspect of technology that has had a great impact on society is how it affects learning. It’s made learning more interactive and collaborative, this helps people better engage with the material that they are learning and have trouble with. Also, it gets you better access to resources. The creation of the internet, it gives us access to information at a twenty-four-hour rate and you have access to almost anything online. In addition, it allows students to get work done easier.

CONCLUSION:

Technology has made our society make it to the point of ignorance to the fact that there might be a day when our technology does not work and they cannot, at the moment, live without it.  We have grown to rely on our technology to make our lives easier.  If our technology were to go away, our lives would be really tough for a while until everyone learned to live without it.  My solution is that we begin that transition sooner rather than later.  If you have basic map-reading skills, you can look at a road map and get to your destination.
